Then become a volunteer for the Happy Family Day event that will take place on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at SALAM Islamic Center.
Happy Family Day event is a collaborative effort organized by the Refugee Enrichment and Development Association, Muslim American Society-Social Services Foundation, ICNA Relief, and other organizations to help refugee families.
During the event, pre-registered refugee families will receive school backpacks for their children. They will also receive useful information about how to address some of the challenges they are facing in their new lives in the US. They will learn about some of the adults and teens counseling services offered by MAS-SSF that can be of great help to them. The children will participate in fun activities and receive a prize at the end of the event.
We are expecting around 1500 refugee families to attend, and your help is very crucial. If you have the desire to help someone in need and you understand Arabic, Urdu, Pashto or Dari, consider volunteering for this great event.
