The Amanah Domestic Violence Program was started in October 2022, the first of its kind in the Sacramento region. It was established to help women who escaped abuse of any form to find safety, peace of mind and stability with their children.
Our mission is to provide women with the tools to heal and rebuild their lives.
Multilingual Support
We have trained Peer Support Specialists who provide culturally sensitive help in six languages, Arabic Dari/Farsi, English, Pashto, Punjabi/Sindhi and Urdu/Hindi.

Domestic Violence Continues To Rise
Sacramento is home to Muslims from all over the world.
Unfortunately, in addition to the trauma endured back home and covid, domestic violence continues to be a rising challenge for all. Sacramento is receiving over 10,000 refugees from Afghanistan. Refugees from Syria, Iraq, and other countries have and continue to arrive.
African-American and African immigrants or refugees make Sacramento their home.
