Hotline To Support Seniors

In response to the COVID-19 emergency, MAS-SSF and MCF  are providing a hotline to support the Senior Citizens as well as people classified as vulnerable to COVID-19 who need help and assistance.

Service Provided:  Support by volunteers to help with pick up of groceries, medication, help with doctor appointment setup and/or answer questions as well as connecting you to resources in the community.

The hotline will provide support for:
  • Medication pick up
  • Grocery pick up
  • Help with doctor appointment setup and/or answer questions
  • Digital Help
  • Connect you to other resources available in the community

Volunteer To Support Seniors

In order to respond timely, we need volunteers for all areas of Sacramento and nearby counties to support this effort and ensure our seniors are safe and healthy.

Guidelines for Volunteering

  • Volunteers will interact with the senior, under the COVID-19 guidelines, and addresses their necessities such as make a run for grocery or medicine pickup, digital help, or connect seniors to other resources available in the community
  • Senior requests will be assigned to you by the volunteer coordinator in the area you are located
  • For all other requests by the senior, a resource database will be available to use to provide support. For example, for rent or food, you will connect the senior to the appropriate agencies in  Sacramento.
  • For any questions or concerns you will have direct access to the Coordinator Lead.
